Data Architect
The Data Architect is responsible for participating in the creation and evolution of a technology roadmap that defines data architectures enabling a solid enterprise data strategy.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop database solutions by designing proposed system, database physical structure, and functional capabilities
  • Create and maintain database diagrams, flowcharts and data dictionaries.
  • Ensure data solutions are built for performance, fault tolerance and security with reusable patterns
  • Identify and enable data capabilities across the enterprise
  • Research, analyze and promote data standards to be used across the enterprise
  • Architect data solutions
  • Identify and implement build versus buy strategies regarding technology
  • Monitor and identify performance trends and work with teams to improve processes and procedures
  •  Create proof-of-concept technology demonstrations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent work experience
  • Five years of experience in two or more of the areas of focus: data quality management, reference data management, master data management, ODS/graph management, enrichment and analytics, metadata management, integrations and service standards, data lakes and governance (architectural and technical)
  • Experience using architectural methodologies and frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman and ArchiMate.
  • Experience with messaging systems, technologies and developing transactional systems.
  • Proven experience in rewriting, refactoring, scaling and the re-architecture of applications.
  • Understanding of current product trends and technology innovations.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, normalization considerations and in intersystem communication strategies, including ESB and web services.
  • Experience in BI application development using MS Power BI or Tableau.
